Sears closing iconic Riverside location, 7 other Inland stores - Press-Enterprise

The parent company of Sears and Kmart is closing 96 stores across the country within the next three months, leaving a bare-bones Southern California presence for the once-iconic retailers.

Transformco, the company that earlier this year bought the remaining assets of Sears Holdings Inc., said Thursday it will close 51 Sears locations and 45 Kmarts by the end of February.

The list includes 11 Sears stores in Southern California and one Kmart location. Going-out-of-business sales will begin at these locations on Dec. 2.

Here is a list of the Sears locations closing in Southern California:

In Los Angeles County:

  • 3755 Santa Rosalie Dr. in Los Angeles;
  • 12121 Victory Blvd. in North Hollywood;
  • 1209 Plaza Dr. in West Covina.

In Orange County: 8150 La Palma Ave. in Buena Park.

In San Bernardino County:

  • 5080 Montclair Plaza Lane in Montclair;
  • 100 Inland Center in San Bernardino;
  • 14420 Bear Valley Road in Victorville.

In Riverside County:

The only Kmart that will close in Southern California is at 7840 Limonite Ave. in Riverside.

In other Southern California counties, Sears closings are in Chula Vista and Ventura.
