CLAY, N.Y. -- Two more retailers are pulling out of Great Northern Mall in Clay.
Yankee Candle has announced its last day of operation is Wednesday. The retailer still operates a shop in Destiny USA.
Yankee Candle closed its location in ShoppingTown Mall in January 2017.
Also closed is the AT&T.store, which has a sign on its front gate saying it is closed, directing customers to the Fulton location. AT&T has a number of other retail outlets around the area.
Great Northern Mall has been struggling in recent years, as tenants including Macy’s and Sears have closed.
Victoria’s Secret closed in March 2019, and Spencer’s Gifts closed in mid-September.
The mall is operated by the Kohan Retail Investment Group, an investment company that primarily buys endangered or troubled shopping malls. Kohan owns about 27 malls across the United States.
