Black Friday 2019: Get a jump on making your holiday shopping plans with early look at ads - USA TODAY

As the days in November tick by, more retailers are sharing their Black Friday plans.

With Thanksgiving Day falling on Nov. 28 this year – the latest it can possibly be – some ads are being released later than in past years.

For the second year, Kohl's was the first major retailer to release its Black Friday ad, which it did on Nov. 1 – the same day as in 2018.

Kmart, Sears and Office Depot followed on Nov. 4 and Target dropped its ad two days later on Nov. 6. Both Best Buy and J.C. Penney unveiled their doorbuster deals Nov. 7.

The later Thanksgiving also means there are six fewer days shopping days between the holiday and Christmas than there were in 2018.

With few exceptions, many major retailers plan to kick off their in-store Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving.

Here are the major Black Friday ads that have been released. Check back often as we will continue to update with more sales circulars as they are released.

Bed Bath & Beyond

Bed Bath & Beyond is bucking its longtime tradition of staying closed on Thanksgiving and, for the first time ever, the New Jersey-based home goods retailer will kick off its in-store Black Friday sale on the holiday. Thanksgiving Day and early Black Friday shoppers can get a coupon for 25% off their purchase. Learn more about Bed Bath & Beyond's holiday plans here.

Best Buy

Best Buy revealed its Black Friday sale circular Thursday, kicking off hundreds of early deals available through Sunday, Nov. 10. For the sixth year, most stores will open at 5 p.m. Thanksgiving and close at 1 a.m. Friday. Stores will then reopen at 8 a.m. Black Friday. Learn more about Best Buy's sale here.

Costco

The members-only warehouse club is holding its holiday sale in five windows, with some deals available now and others continuing through Cyber Monday (Dec. 2). Costco is closed on Thanksgiving, but some of its Black Friday doorbusters will begin online that day including deals on televisions, electronics, gaming systems, jewelry, food and more. Learn more about Costco's sale here.

J.C. Penney

Keeping with tradition, J.C. Penney will kick off its Black Friday sale at 2 p.m. Thanksgiving Day with a mystery coupon giveaway and chance to score a $500 shopping spree. There are deals on small appliances, toys and clothing. Learn more about J.C. Penney's Black Friday ad here.

Kmart

Kmart's Black Friday ad is much smaller than in 2018 and so is the retailer's store footprint. Days after releasing its ad, a new round of store closings was announced with 45 Kmart stores included. The liquidation at these stores is set to start after Black Friday on Dec. 2. Kmart stores will be open 6 a.m. to midnight Thanksgiving and reopen 6 a.m. Black Friday. Learn more about Kmart's Black Friday ad here.

Kohl's

Kohl's is bringing back its $15 Kohl's Cash for its Black Friday sale starting on Nov. 25 and continuing through Black Friday. Limited doorbusters will be available starting at 12:01 a.m. CST Thanksgiving Day online ahead of the in-store sale. The in-store sale continues through 1 p.m. local time on Black Friday, Nov. 29, and while supplies last Friday online. Learn more about Kohl's sale here.

Office Depot

Office Depot and OfficeMax stores are staying closed on Thanksgiving but will kick off the online sale at 12:01 a.m. ET Nov. 28 and then the in-store sale begins 8 a.m. Nov. 29. Office Depot OfficeMax Rewards members get early access to select Black Friday deals online and on the Office Depot app starting Nov. 26. Learn more about Office Depot's sale here.

Sears

Like sister store Kmart, Sears' Black Friday ad is much smaller than in 2018 and its store footprint continues to shrink with 51 more Sears set to shutter in February. The new stores set to close are expected to participate in Black Friday sales as the liquidation begins on Dec. 2. Unlike in past years, there were no deals on appliances in the Black Friday ad. Learn more about Sears' Black Friday ad here.

Target

Target kicks off early deals from its Black Friday ad Nov. 8-9 and then will have more deal days leading up to its big holiday sale that begins Thanksgiving. Shoppers with a RedCard and members of the new Target Circle loyalty program get early access to deals Wednesday, Nov. 27. Learn more about Target's sale here

Walmart

Walmart hasn't released its Black Friday ad yet, but it launched "Early Deals Drops" on Oct. 25, which is earlier than ever before. Learn more about Walmart's early sales here. Stay tuned for the Black Friday ad.
