ST. CLOUD -- The former Shopko building in east St. Cloud has a new owner.
A Runnings company spokesman tells WJON news that they have bought the building and plan to open a store in the fall of 2020.
Runnings is based out of Marshall, Minnesota and began in 1947. They also have stores in Monticello, Litchfield, Willmar and several other communities around the state.
Runnings is a home, farm and outdoor store.
Shopko announced in February that they were going to close the eastside store, with the official closing happening in May. Shopko Optical continued to operate out of that building until they moved to their new location in October.
