Amazon Fresh delivery, longer USPS hours and more San Antonio retail news - mySA

Amazon’s online grocery delivery service, Amazon Fresh, is now available to Prime members in San Antonio.

Two-hour delivery is free for orders of $35 or more and one-hour delivery costs $4.99, Staff Writer Priscilla Aguirre reports. Amazon still offers two-hour delivery from its Whole Foods Market stores, and last year the company launched local beer and wine delivery through its Prime Now service.

As people look for more convenient, quick ways to get their groceries, other companies also are adding pickup and delivery services.

H-E-B is on track to offer both options at more than 200 of its Texas stores by the end of the year and recently rolled out a new mobile app that allows customers to order groceries for curbside pickup or home delivery.

Walmart has also expanded the services and last month the company started offering curbside alcohol pickup at about a dozen stores in San Antonio. Target offers delivery through Shipt, and mobile apps such as Drizly also provide alcohol delivery.
